Structures

My collection of Old Structures comes from a fascination of all things OLD.  I’m intrigued with the buildings of old and creatively challenged to make the old something beautiful.  Barns are especially interesting to me, and the more dilapidated, the better!  I certainly wish their walls could talk – and we could hear the “real story” of their existence, but we can just imagine in the meantime.  I think of hard work, sweaty hours of labor, animals birthing or feeding and/or sleeping.  Old homes exude the same questions.  Who lived there?  When? And why is it in such disarray now?  Someone at some time took the time to build the structure out of a need.  Did the need end? Or were the circumstances dictated by trauma or death and the necessary care was removed?  Regardless of the past and the history these walls conceal, my attempt to enjoy the current status of the structures was the goal with this collection of Old Structures.
